Vocabulary training with "MemoVoc"
What is "MemoVoc"?
Alba school has developed an easy to use computer programme called "MemoVoc", which helps you to learn new vocabulary as well as idioms and phrases fast and effortlessly. You will receive a brief introduction on the use of the programme by our teachers and then you may work on your own or even together with a tutor.
What does the programme offer?
For beginners: basic vocabulary, idioms and simple sentences
For intermediate students: Expansion of already existing vocabulary, improvement of listening and pronunciation skills
For the job: technical terms, necessary idioms, phrases and sentences for writing letters, e-mails, etc.
Why doing vocabulary training?
It is impossible to speak any language without the necessary vocabulary knowledge. Of course it is not always possible to remember all newly learned words. Especially the fillers are easily forgotten, even if they would be very important to construct complete sentences.
Did it ever happen to you that you learned a word, but had then difficulties in recalling it? It's explicable with the simple fact that each word has to be consciously encountered at least six times before it gets memorised properly. Only then you're able to recall it.
We tried it out with our model students as well as with persons having problems in memorising vocabulary - and the success of our "MemoVoc" was outstanding. The students had a lot of fun and reached optimum results after just one our of "MemoVoc" training per day.
